WOMEN'S TRACK
Women at SIBI who wish to complete their Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree and will be required to take 40 courses and 4 public speaking labs. Typically a student will study for 3 years in the Deaf Ministry Program. Most of the courses are taught in ASL, however, some courses may be interpreted and taken with the hearing instructors. The following is a list of the courses that will be taken by students in the Women's Deaf Ministry Program.

Essential Women's Ministry 1
(Women of the Bible)
This course is designed to prepare women for ministry through self-evaluation and self-growth. We will study the remarkable women of the Old and New Testaments and what we can learn from them.
Essential Women's Ministry 2
(Women in the Church)
This course is designed to prepare women for ministry through self-evaluation and self-growth. We will learn about the history of the women’s rights and feminist movements, four views of a woman’s position in society and the church, and an overview of the Old and New Testament scriptures concerning women’s roles in society and in the church. Students will choose a book from a list of recommended books and will present an oral book review to the class.
Essential Women's Ministry 3
(Building an Effective Women's Ministry)
This course will help you to understand why we need women’s ministry in the church and its purpose. We will learn how to develop a “mock” women’s ministry project. We will learn about the vital importance of a ministry that incorporates and practices a “Sabbatical Lifestyle”.
Essential Women's Ministry 4
(Boundaries)
This course is designed to prepare women for ministry through self-evaluation and self-growth. We will learn how to develop healthier relationships in our daily lives by setting important boundaries and becoming better informed about how to be proactive in our own ministry care.

How to teach a friend about Jesus from the gospel of Mark.
Evangelism II
Presentation of various methods and techniques of teaching small groups and individuals.

Public Speaking 1
Confidence in public prayer, Scripture reading, song, introducing a speaker.
Public Speaking 2
Biographical women lessons, impromptu speaking.
Public Speaking 3
Leading discussion classes, ladies’ day preparation.
Public Speaking 4
Topical Speaking (Senior Lessons).
Old Testament
Old Testament History I
This course is taught in ASL to Deaf students and those hearing who may want to work with the Deaf. In this course, we focus on the Pentateuch (Genesis - Deuteronomy).
Old Testament History II
Continuation of the study through the Old Testament, places, men, women, and promises from God. In this course, we focus on the books of Joshua - 2 Samuel.
Old Testament History III
Continuation of the study through the Old Testament, places, men, women, and promises from God. In this course, we focus on the books of 1 Kings - Esther.
Wisdom Literature
An overview of the books of Job, Psalm, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Songs.
Isaiah
Textual study of the book of Isaiah.
Daniel
Textual study of the book of Daniel.
Ezekiel
Textual study of the book of Ezekiel.
Minor Prophets
This course is designed to help Deaf students and hearing students who work with the Deaf to see what God said to the people through these twelve prophets.
Growth
Minister's Spiritual Life
The study and the application of various biblical teachings which will assure spiritual growth of the individual.
Christian Home
The study of marital maturity, values, insights and skills which include communication, financial management, sexual harmony, and parenting.
Biblical Interpretation (Hermeneutics)
How to Study the Bible using the book of Jude, study skills are taught which develop research and study habits.
Christian Counseling
Basic non-clinical counseling skills and insights relevant to the people-helping tasks of ministry.
Doctrinal
Scheme of Redemption
A theological, doctrinal, and historical study of the Messianic seed prophecies from Genesis to the ascension.
Sacrificial System
A study of the Old Testament worship based on the Law of Moses and the concepts of sacrifice and atonement.
New Testament Church
A study of the pattern of the New Testament church.

Scope of the gospel of Matthew with special emphasis on the Sermon on the Mount.
